3 Tips for Mindful Living


The concept of mindful living is to take time out of your day, slow down, and be fully present in a moment.

Implement ways to live from a space of awareness, not on auto-pilot. Take time out of your day to slow down and enjoy moments in your life. There are various ways that you can incorporate this concept into your life. Here are a few tips to get you started.

Rise and Shine. Begin the day focusing on you, not with the sole purpose of hastily preparing for work. Get up 15 to 30 minutes earlier to have some quiet time, enjoy a cup of coffee or your beverage of choice, meditate, or eat breakfast.

Connect. Move beyond the superficial and social media. Nurture the relationships that you value and find moments to connect and show appreciation with your family and friends.

Do Something for You. Take time out to do something that is for you. Fully enjoy your moment and savor it. Make it a habit.

This week, I challenge you to start taking steps to be fully present in your moments throughout the day until it becomes a habit. Mindfulness can increase your self-awareness and appreciation for life. Be there. Be present. Discover life. Enjoy life!
